2.4mm Cortical Screws are available in lengths from 6 - 40mm. The 2.4 system of screws and DCPs sit exactly between the 2.0 and the 2.7 systems. The difference between the 2.0 and the 2.7 is very large compared to, for example, the difference between 3.5 and 4.5mm systems. There are many occasions in feline and miniature dog orthopaedics where 2.0 plates and screws are too small yet 2.7mm plates and screws are too large.
