BOVIVET Magnet Introducer is designed for the administration of rumen magnets in cattle as part of the prevention and management of traumatic reticuloperitonitis (hardware disease) caused by ferromagnetic foreign bodies in the reticulum and rumen.

 

The introducer is manufactured from stainless steel and is designed to provide safe, controlled and efficient placement of rumen magnets. The robust construction ensures durability and long service life in professional veterinary and livestock environments.

 

As a preventive measure, administration of a rumen magnet is commonly recommended around the time of first insemination or at approximately 18 months of age. Studies indicate that a single magnet may not provide lifelong protection in high-risk cattle, and administration of an additional magnet may be recommended approximately four years later.
