KRUUSE Silk is a natural, non-absorbable, multifilament, sterile suture. KRUUSE Silk suture elicits an initial inflammatory reaction in tissues, which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissues. Can not be used in known or suspected sensitivity or allergy to silk.
Features
KRUUSE Silk casette contains 1/pk. Shelf life is 3 years (from production date), 3 month after 1st use. This multifilament suture is composed of the organic protein fibroin. Suitable for epidermal approximation and other general surgery where non-absorbable suture is indicated. Since silk is a natural fiber, more tissue reaction would be expected compared to tissue reaction when using synthetic sutures
